Metros de Santiago (LNB) landed 28-year old American 198cm shooting guard
Jordan Williams, college:
N.Texas. Williams played last summer at
Huellas in TBS league in Dominican Republic. In 7 games he averaged impressive 28.3ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.6apg, 1.6spg and 1.0bpg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Rep. TBS 2nd Team, 3rd Team and League Player of the Week. He also played for
Gregorio Urbano Gilbert (Santiago League) where in 12 games he was league's fourth best scorer with remarkable 22.5ppg and recorded 4.6rpg, 3.2apg and 1.6spg (in top 4). Williams can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Rep. TBS 2nd Team, 3rd Team and also here League Player of the Week.
He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Mexico (Frayles de Guasave, Mineros and Gigantes), Saudi Arabia (Al Ittihad) and United Kingdom (Cheshire Phoenix).
Among many awards his team won Mexican LNBP 2020 East Division Regular Season in 2020. Williams was also voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican CIBACOPA Guard of the Year in 2019.
He attended University of North Texas until 2015 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
